Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian Nationals

The Time is Now. TPS for Haitians

In response to the devastation in Haiti, the Department of Homeland Security has approved Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian nationals living in the United States. The registration period will be open from January 21, 2010 – July 20, 2010. All Haitian nationals currently living in the United States qualify for this protection. This temporary protected status (TPS) will allow Haitian nationals to live and work in the United States without fear of removal. Currently, the protected status has been approved for 18 months. But, the Department of Homeland Security can grant extensions of the protection status in the future until the conditions in Haiti improve.

If you are a Haitian National living in the United States, you should speak to a U.S. Visa Lawyer today. Don’t waste time. The registration period will close before you know it.
